High-Tech Corporations Hope to Hit a Home Run for Doernbecher

More than 30 Portland-area high-tech companies will compete in the 15th Annual Oregon High-Tech Softball Tournament to benefit Doernbecher Children's Hospital

More than 30 high-tech companies, including teams from InFocus and Microsoft, will compete June 23 and 24 in the 15th Annual Oregon High-Tech Softball Tournament to benefit Doernbecher Children's Hospital. The two-day event will be held at the Tualatin Hills Park and Athletic Center from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Last year's event raised more than $30,000 for Doernbecher.

Each team will play in at least three games. The event also features food, live music, a golf skill competition and thousands of dollars in prizes, including a sweepstakes grand prize of a weeklong trip for two to Hawaii.

The tournament and sweepstakes are open to the public. Additional teams are encouraged to join. The entry fee is $550 per team. The following teams have committed to play in this year's tournament:
