New Physician Joins OHSU Family Health Center in Scappoose

SCAPPOOSE, Ore.

Heather Paladine, M.D., recently joined the Oregon Health & Science University Family Health Center in Scappoose. She is the fourth medical provider to join the clinic.

The family practice clinic is interested in attracting new patients, especially in the area of obstetrics.

"Family care includes whole families, from kids to adults to grandparents. We also provide pre-natal care. Our philosophy is to keep the whole family and the whole person in view. I think that is what makes us unique," Paladine said.

Paladine completed her family practice residency at OHSU in family practice in 1999. She then completed a fellowship in maternal and children's health care in Los Angeles. Paladine worked at a community health center in Vancouver, Wash., before starting her new job at OHSU.

"I am so glad to be back in Oregon, and I love working at the Scappoose office. Just in the past few weeks I have already added several families to my practice," she said.

Paladine, as well as Karen Muchowski, M.D., also at the clinic, speak Spanish. They encourage Spanish-speaking patients to consider using the Scappoose clinic for their health care.

The OHSU Family Health Center in Scappoose is located at 3372 E. Columbia Avenue.
