Doernbecher Children's Hospital Foundation Elects New Board Officers

   Portland, Ore.

At its annual meeting on Dec. 5, 2001, the Doernbecher Children's Hospital Foundation elected a new board officers. Comprising volunteer business and community leaders, the board will set the strategic direction of the foundation as it enters the second year of its $30 million fund-raising campaign supporting Doernbecher Children's Hospital.

Elected were Edward J. Hepp Jr., president; Ronald Brake, immediate past president; K. Risa Olsen, senior vice president; Xandra McKeown; vice president of finance; M. Wakefield Mack; secretary; and Linda Maletis, member at large.

Hepp is president of Hepp Steel Resources, Brake is the owner of Portland Food 4 Less, Olsen is a corporate account executive for Wells Fargo Merchant Services, McKeown is executive vice president of West Coast Bank, Mack is vice president of U.S. Trust, and Maletis is a community leader and prominent northwest philanthropist.

Doernbecher Children's Hospital is a key priority for The Oregon Opportunity, OHSU's $500 million public/private fund-raising initiative to support and expand OHSU programs and initiatives, and accelerate the institution's research activities.
