The Doernbecher Children's Hospital Foundation is pleased to have several new community leaders named to its board of directors. Board members are community leaders who volunteer their time and expertise to provide policy direction and oversight for the foundation.
New Doernbecher Foundation board members are: David A. Olmsted and Paul R. Fry. Other recently elected Doernbecher Foundation board members are: Michael Doherty, Kelly Johnson, Cheryl Joshi and Maryann Silva.
Olmsted is vice president and general manager of KATU-TV Channel 2 in Portland. Fry is president and general manager of KGW-TV Northwest News Channel 8 in Portland. Doherty is global presentation creative director for Nike, Inc. Johnson is first vice president and managing director for RBC Dain Rauscher. Joshi is director of client services for First Contact and treasurer of the Friends of Doernbecher. Silva is president of the Friends of Doernbecher and is active in the Women for Children Chapter of Friends.
"Doernbecher Children's Hospital has a long-standing tradition of tremendous community support throughout the region. Our volunteer board members represent an important component of that support," said Sue Nicol, executive director of the Doernbecher Children's Hospital Foundation. "We greatly appreciate their time, commitment and expertise."
The Doernbecher Children's Hospital Foundation is a 501(c)3 organization that secures private philanthropic support for Doernbecher Children's Hospital at Oregon Health & Science University. The foundation raises funds from individuals, companies, foundations, trusts, and organizations and manages those funds in accordance with donors' wishes.
