Myths about breasts and breast cancer seem to be everywhere. Does antiperspirant really cause cancer? What about underwire bras? Elizabeth Steiner, M.D., will give the straight story during “Bras and Breasts: Separating Fact From Fiction About Breast Cancer,” an interactive event entirely devoted to breasts on Oct. 11, from noon to 1 p.m., followed by bra fittings at the downtown Nordstrom.
Steiner, assistant professor of family medicine, OHSU School of Medicine, is the first speaker in the OHSU Center for Women’s Health 2007-2008 “Speaking of Women” lecture series.
