Enterprise Gives $5,000 to Doernbecher Through Credit Unions for Kids

The contribution will help Credit Unions for Kids reach its $1 million goal to fund the professorship of Robert Steiner, M.D., at Doernbecher Children's Hospital.

Beaverton, ORE – As a contribution to the Credit Unions for Kids program of Oregon and Southwest Washington, Enterprise Car Sales presented $5,000 to Doernbecher Children’s Hospital on August 25.

“We are thrilled that Enterprise Car Sales has made this generous donation to Credit Unions for Kids," said Kasey Rockwell, director of credit union development for the Credit Union Association of Oregon and credit unions for kids program coordinator. "It will go to help us reach our current goal at Doernbecher, which is a two-year $1 million goal to fund the professorship of Dr. Robert Steiner, who specializes in inborn errors of metabolism and osteogenesis imperfect.”

"We know that at times like these, this gift is even more needed and Enterprise Car Sales is thrilled to assist Credit Unions for Kids at Doernbecher Children's Hospital,” said Enterprise Car Sales Business Development Manager Alisha March. “Enterprise has been committed to the credit union movement for nearly 40 years, and like our credit union partners, we have long been involved in supporting the communities where we live and do business."

Credit Unions in Oregon and SW Washington have been helping the children at Doernbecher Children's Hospital for 22 years. The grassroots fund-raising effort involves more than 100 credit unions throughout the region, and has raised more than $8 million for Doernbecher, including more than $879,000 during the group's 2008 campaign year.
