OHSU Hires New Chief Financial Officer

Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) today announced the hiring of Lawrence E. Revill as OHSU's new Chief Financial Officer.

Revill has nearly 20 years of experience in an academic health center setting, serving in a variety of finance capacities at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas, since 1991, including vice president of finance and chief financial officer since 1999.

"Larry has a wealth of experience relevant to the situation and circumstances facing OHSU," said Joe Robertson, M.D., M.B.A., OHSU president. "It's a great fit on both sides and we look forward to his arrival." Revill starts at OHSU on Oct. 15.

"I'm very excited for the opportunity to work with Dr. Robertson and the other members of the executive team," Revill said. "I'm impressed with the strategic vision of OHSU, and I think my background in terms of the size of the institution, the mission and the wide variety of operating units is a good match for the needs of OHSU."

The interview process was extensive, involving a nationwide search that began in March and identified more than 100 candidates. "We interviewed a large and diverse group," said Dr. Robertson. "Larry really stood out; he was the clear consensus choice."

"During the interview process, I met with a wide variety of faculty and staff across all the mission areas," Revill said. "What I saw was that OHSU has a good group of people throughout the institution. I really look forward to being part of the OHSU community."
