Latest in Prostate Cancer Prevention, Treatment Focus of Sept. 26 Conference

Ninth Annual Pacific NW Prostate Cancer Conference will highlight latest scientific progress, describe current clinical trials likely to chance the standard of care in the coming year

WHAT:   Prostate cancer patients and their families, men at risk for prostate cancer, prostate cancer advocates and members of the public are invited to attend the 9th Annual Pacific Northwest Prostate Cancer Conference.

The conference, sponsored by the OHSU Knight Cancer Institute in conjunction with the University of Washington, will feature nationally recognized prostate cancer experts providing the latest updates on:

Prevention and early detection of prostate cancer.

Treatment of localized prostate cancer.

Medical management of advanced prostate cancer.

Current status of knowledge about the role of nutrition in prostate cancer.

Recent scientific progress and clinical trials.

In addition, the program will provide insight into coping with the diagnosis of prostate cancer and address sexuality in prostate cancer survivors. There will be ample opportunities for audience participation.

WHEN:  Saturday, Sept. 26, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. (check in begins at 8 a.m.).
