Behavioral Neuroscience Graduate Students Receive 2009 APA Dissertation Awards

Bob Hitzemann, Professor & Chair of the Department of Behavioral Neuroscience, is proud to announce that three Behavioral Neuroscience graduate students - Angela Scibelli, Pete Groblewski, and Lauren Dobbs - have been awarded 2009 American Psychological Association Dissertation Research Awards.

They will each receive an award of $1,000 from APA to help fund their dissertation research.

This year, 145 applications were received from students in 14 categories.  The APA was able to make 46 awards. Nearly all of them were reviewed by three expert faculty reviews in the same area of specialty and the process was quite competitive.  More information about the awards can be viewed here http://www.apa.org/about/awards/scidir-dissertre.aspx
