Searching for the roots of ovarian cancer

Tanja Pejovic, M.D., Associate Professor, Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology, was interviewed by The Oregonian on the topic of ovarian cancer. The article discusses how symptoms of ovarian cancer are nearly impossible to detect, frustrating both patients and researchers dealing with this rare disease. Looking ahead, Dr. Pejovic’s group at OHSU has identified a set of genes that could help understand the basic biology and ultimately lead to an early screening test.
