Burger King Corporation Participates in 10th Annual OHSU Doernbecher Radiothon Raising Support Funds

The 10th annual 99.5 FM “The Wolf’s Hunt for a Cure Radiothon” will be held March 4 and 5 to benefit OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital.

Again this year, Burger King has come on board with a very special fundraising opportunity in addition to the two-day radiothon.

On March 2, 2010, participating BURGER KING® locations in the Portland metropolitan area will donate 20 percent of all gross sales that day to OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. The Wolf air-talent will be on hand at select BURGER KING® locations encouraging listeners to participate in the event. More details can be found at www.thewolfonline.com.

Last year, King’s Kids Day raised more than $51,000 for OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital and organizers hope to raise at least that to add to the overall “Hunt for a Cure” campaign goal supporting the hospital, which provides primary and specialized care to young patients each year from Oregon, southwest Washington and beyond. OHSU Doernbecher is nationally recognized for its programs in pediatric heart surgery, neurosurgery and cancer.

Listeners of 99.5 FM “The Wolf” can make donations on March 4 and 5 by calling 888 221-KIDS (5437). Within the Portland area, listeners can call 503 418-KIDS (5437). Donations can also be made online at www.thewolfonline.com.

The 2010 Radiothon is sponsored by John L. Scott Foundation.
