OCTRI KL2 Scholar Joshi Alumkal, M.D., was recently selected as one of twelve Associate Scientific Advisors for the new journal, Science Translational Medicine. As an Associate Scientific Advisor, Dr. Alumkal will compose Editor’s Choice articles and consult with the journal’s editors on research in his field of study. Joshi was selected from over 30 nominees for his “Clarity of thought,” and “ability to cover important fields in clinical and translational science,” said Cynthia Morris, Professor of Medicine, Public Health and Preventative Medicine at OHSU, who assisted in the selection process.
