OHSU Brain Institute celebrates neuroscience at OMSI

As part of OHSU’s Brain Awareness Season, the OHSU Brain Institute teamed up with OMSI to bring neuroscience to the public. OHSU neuroscientists were available to speak with kids about research. Among the topics were the hazards of poison, traumatic head injuries, and the effects of alcohol on the brain. Bobby Heagerty, Director of Community Affairs and Education for the OHSU Brain Institute, and second-year med student Rachel Pilliod were quoted in the article published today in the Bee.
