Expanding Electronic Book Collection

Over the past year many electronic books have been purchased in several subject areas to supplement our print collection and provide for easy access.

42 titles from Elsevier were obtained in four areas –

  • Biochemistry, genetics and molecular biology including Clinical and Translational Science and Genomic and Personalized Medicine (Two Volumes)
  •  Medicine and dentistry including Complementary and Alternative Therapies and the Aging Population and Chesley's Hypertensive Disorders in Pregnancy
  • Neuroscience including Handbook of Episodic Memory and The Spinal Cord
  • Pharmacology, Toxicology and Pharmaceutical Science including Animal and Translational Models for CNS Drug Discovery and Fundamentals of Toxicologic Pathology

15 dentistry titles on the Ovid platform such as Oxford Handbook of Clinical Dentistry and Introduction to Orthodontics

112 Doody’s Core Titles in healthcare, medicine, and nursing recommended by healthcare professionals and medical librarians

317 LWW Nursing Collection – this wide range of titles covers multiple nursing sub-specialties, including surgery, administration, pediatrics, diagnosis, palliative care, and more

43 titles from the Oxford Scholarship Online Neuroscience collection such as The Cognitive Neuroscience of Memory

25 titles on the STAT!Ref platform selected by the School of Dentistry including Peterson's principles of oral and maxillofacial surgery

All of these resources can be found in our catalog by searching on the title or subject.

As a result of the recent collection assessment many additional titles will be purchased in more areas to meet the growing need for electronic books.
