OHSU offering low-cost school sports physicals July 24

Half of $20 fee will be donated to local high school athletic programs
WHAT: The Sports Medicine Clinic in the Oregon Health & Science University Department of Orthopaedics & Rehabilitation is offering low-cost physicals that meet the state requirement for participation in high school athletics. Athletes will be screened for a variety of medical problems that may put them at risk for sports injury for $20. OHSU also is offering baseline testing for athletes at risk for concussions for an additional $10. All exam fees will be donated to local high school sports and athletic trainer programs and the OHSU Sports Medicine Community Education & Research Foundation.


WHEN: Saturday, July 24, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

WHERE: OHSU Center for Health & Healing, Third floor, 3303 S.W. Bond Ave., Portland.

DETAILS: Students must be accompanied by a legal guardian. No appointment necessary; physicals are given on a first-come, first-served basis. For groups of 20 or more, please call 503-494-4000 or pre-register by going to www.ohsuhealth.com/sportsphysicals
