Dr. Alumkal selected as adviser to journal 'Science Translational Medicine'

OCTRI KL2 Scholar Joshi Alumkal, MD, Assistant Professor, Department of Medicine, has been selected as one of 12 Associate Scientific Advisers for the new journal, Science Translational Medicine. As an Associate Scientific Adviser, Dr. Alumkal will compose Editor's Choice articles and consult with the journal's editors on research in his field of study. Dr. Alumkal was selected from over 30 nominees for his "clarity of thought," and "ability to cover important fields in clinical and translational science," said Cynthia Morris, Professor of Medicine and Public Health & Preventtive Medicine, who assisted in the selection process.
