Dr. Moorhead weighs in on recent physician shortage survey

John Moorhead, MD, Professor, Department of Emergency Medicine, was quoted in a recent Oregon Health Authority news release citing the state’s potential doctor shortage within the next five years. In the article, Dr.  Moorhead said, “The number of physicians planning to retire in coming years is concerning and indicates a continued need to prepare for potential physician shortages.” Dr. Moorhead is chair of both the OMA Committee on Access and Workforce and the Oregon Health Policy Board Health Care Workforce Committee.
