OHSU Cafés Offer Free Coffee for Clothes in Support of OHSU Hospital’s Clothes Closet Project

WHAT: Cafés across the Oregon Health & Science University campus have partnered with the OHSU Clothes Closet program to offer free or discounted coffee in exchange for donations of socks and undergarments. The OHSU Clothes Closet provides free clothing to hospital patients who are in need. The program also provides free attire to emergency room patients whose clothing mav have been damaged in an accident or to those who could use additional clothing to stay warm during the colder months.

WHERE: All OHSU Cafés (hours vary by location) on the OHSU Marquam Hill Campus and at the Center for Health and Healing.

WHEN: Monday, September 13 until Saturday, September 25

DETAILS: Clothing donors can receive a free drip coffee, or $1 off any espresso drink, when they bring in new socks or undergarments for the Clothes Closet. Donations must be new and still in the original packaging.

The OHSU Clothes Closet is also accepting donations of slightly worn comfort clothing. Specifically, the closet is currently in need of large-sized clothing. Those donations may be taken to the concierge desk at OHSU Hospital.
