Hersh Named One of Top 25 Clinical Informaticists

Professor and chair of medical informatics and clinical epidemiology William R. Hersh, MD, was named one of the top 25 clinical informaticists of 2010 by Modern Healthcare magazine.

Hersh was acknowledged for directing one of the largest biomedical informatics education programs in the country. The article also cited his work leading the 10x10 (“ten by ten”) program in collaboration with the American Medical Informatics Association that aims to train 10,000 healthcare professionals in biomedical informatics by 2010.

Hersh was nominated by Paul DeMuro, a student in the Graduate Certificate program.

Modern Healthcare is a print and online news source for the healthcare industry. This was the first year of the Top 25 Clinical Informaticists list.
