The Oregonian welcomes Knight Cancer Institute’s growth, notes important role in community

An Oregonian editorial welcomed news that OHSU’s Knight Cancer Institute is about to grow “manyfold.” The editorial, which focused on Phil & Penny Knight’s recent $100 million donation, said “This is a fine moment not only for the OHSU Knight Cancer Institute but also Oregon. We'll need to remember that well before the first $100 million runs out. The institute will need the financial support of the broader community, which benefits not only as cancer care improves but also as professional jobs are created and support environments flourish.” The full OHSU Press Release is available here.
