OHSU Library Joins Public Library of Science and Extends Member Benefits Scientific Authors

The library is proud to announce that it recently joined Public Library of Science. (PLoS). "PLoS is a nonprofit organization of scientists and physicians committed to making the world's scientific and medical literature a freely available public resource." With membership to PLoS, all OHSU Authors publishing in any PLoS journal save 10% of article processing fees.

PLoS publishes numerous highly cited journals, and also hosts PLoS one, "a peer-reviewed scientific journal for the swift publication of original research in all areas of science and medicine, with innovative user tools for post-publication commenting, rating, and discussion."

The library's PLoS membership is its third open access membership. The Library's memberships to Hindawi Publishing Corporation and BioMed Central also provide author article processing discounts for publication in those publishers' journals. Find out more about OHSU Author Benefits on the library's web page.
