U.S. News & World Report ranks four SoM education programs in Top 10 nationwide

usnwrOnce again the news was outstanding for the OHSU School of Medicine when U.S. News & World Report released its annual survey of "America's Best Graduate Schools 2012 Edition."  The OHSU Family Medicine program was ranked second in the nation.

Each year, the magazine publishes a list of the nation's top medical schools, also ranking schools for their training in certain specialty programs.

For the 2012 edition of the rankings, the School of Medicine is listed in the following categories: 

  • Ranked 2nd in family medicine training
  • Ranked 3rd in primary care training
  • Ranked 5th in rural medicine training
  • Ranked 6th in physician assistant training
  • Ranked 36th in research

In all, 126 medical schools participate in U.S. News and World Report's rankings.  For more than a decade, the magazine has consistently ranked the School of Medicine's education programs among the best in the nation.

“America’s Best Graduate Schools” will be published in the April 5 print edition of U.S. News & World Report.
