Ovid Medline-New Settings

You asked and we listened! We’ve changed our “timeout” period for the all Ovid databases, including Medline, to 30 minutes.

Previously the database was set to timeout after 15 minutes of inactivity in the database window…so, if you became absorbed in a journal article or e-book or had to go put the kids to bed, you may have inadvertently lost your search and its results.

Remember, you can always save a search in Ovid databases by setting up a “My Projects” account: http://www.ovid.com/site/pdf/faq/My_Projects_FAQ_04_02_2010_FINAL.pdf

But now you’ll have some extra time to work with before you get “timed out” And…Ovid has activated a pop-up reminder, in case time gets away from you.
