Frederick S. Keller, MD Philanthropist of the Year Award established

Dr. KellerThe Society of Interventional Radiology Foundation established the Frederick S. Keller, MD Philanthropist of the Year Award at its annual meeting in Chicago in March. This award will be presented annually to the individual providing the greatest overall support to the SIR Foundation.

This honor was awarded to Frederick Keller, MD, Director of the Dotter Interventional Institute and Professor in the Department of Diagnostic Radiology, in grateful appreciation for his visionary guidance and unwavering leadership of the Society of Interventional Radiology Foundation’s development efforts.

The Society of Interventional Radiology is the largest subspecialty society of Diagnostic Radiology with close to 5,000 members. In addition to the above honor, Dr. Keller was awarded the Society’s Gold Medal in 2005.
