Dr. Mladenovic named new OHSU Provost

Dr. MladenovicFollowing a lengthy national search process, Jeanette Mladenovic, MD, MBA, MACP, has been named the new provost for Oregon Health & Science University. She is expected to join OHSU this fall.

Dr. Mladenovic comes to OHSU from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine where she currently serves as the senior associate dean. Prior to her arrival at the University of Miami, Dr. Mladenovic served in administrative posts at the State University of New York, the University of Colorado, the State University of New York at Stony Brook and the University of Minnesota. Her vast experience also includes health research.

Dr. Mladenovic received her bachelor’s and medical degrees from the University of Washington, completed training at Johns Hopkins Hospital and Stanford University, and obtained her MBA at the University of Miami.

“I am incredibly excited to return to the Northwest and join OHSU,” said Dr. Mladenovic. “One of the projects that I greatly look forward to working on is the new OUS/OHSU Collaborative Life Sciences Building and the surrounding campus. It provides a unique opportunity for four nationally ranked professional schools and OHSU’s academic and research partners to work together to better prepare our future health care workforce.”
