Dr. Jaffe is inaugural Jaffe Award recipient; award named in his honor

Dr. JaffeTwo chief residents from the Department of Pediatrics have created a faculty award called “The Jaffe,” named in honor of Arthur Jaffe, MD, Professor, Department of Pediatrics.

The Jaffe Award is presented to the Department of Pediatrics faculty member who significantly contributes to the education of the pediatric residents and students with their participation at organized pediatric conferences including morning report and noon conference.

“Art is a mainstay at morning report and his input to the discussion at that conference helps the residents to develop sound clinical/diagnostic reasoning skills,” said Cindy Ferrell, MD, Associate Professor, Department of Pediatrics.

Dr. Jaffe specializes in medical-behavioral aspects of pediatric care, particularly as it relates to feeding disorders of early childhood. Dr. Jaffe is the inaugural recipient of this award.
