Local businesses, community groups to spread holiday cheer at OHSU Doernbecher

WHAT:  

Local businesses and community groups will visit patients and families at OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital this holiday season.

WHEN:  

Monday, Dec. 14, 1 p.m.: Spirit Mountain Casino Toy Delivery
For the eighth consecutive year, Spirit Mountain Casino will deliver a semi-truck full of new, unwrapped toys.

Tuesday, Dec. 15, 10:30 a.m.: Make-a-Wish Oregon Holiday Magic
The Make-A-Wish Foundation will display merchandise for our patients to shop and select gifts. Make-A-Wish volunteers will then wrap and label the presents for delivery to family members.

Wednesday, Dec. 16, 12:30 p.m.: The Container Store “Holiday Hugs” Toy Delivery
The Container Store in Portland will deliver new, unwrapped toys, books and other gifts – generously donated by store customers.

Saturday, Dec. 19, 3 p.m.: TRVLSQD Christmas Ruck to OHSU Doernbecher - Toy Delivery and “Sleigh Carry”
Members of the Portland TRVLSQD team, will carry a custom-built 8 foot sleigh full of toys on their shoulders from the World Trade Center building to OHSU Doernbecher.

Friday, Dec. 25, 8 a.m.: A visit from Santa Claus
OHSU Doernbecher is always on Santa’s list. The jolly old elf will make a special stop at the hospital to deliver gifts and holiday smiles to each patient.
