The Oregon Office of Rural Health at OHSU is seeking nominations for the 2016 Oregon Rural Health Hero of the Year Award. The award will honor an outstanding person, program or organization that has improved the quality and availability of health care in rural communities around the state.
“Health care is changing rapidly, but no matter how it changes, it’s about people,” says Scott Ekblad, director of the Oregon Office of Rural Health. “Throughout our communities, there are individuals and organizations working hard to ensure health care remains focused on people. You can honor them by nominating them for the Health Hero of the Year.”
The 2016 Oregon Rural Health Hero will be announced at the 33rd Annual Oregon Rural Health Conference, to be held Wednesday, Sept. 28-30, 2016, at the DoubleTree by Hilton, Portland, Oregon.
Nomination forms will be accepted through June 24, 2016 and are available on the Oregon Office of Rural Health website.
