Casey Eye Institute experts share updates on research, treatments for macular degeneration

Experts from the OHSU Casey Eye Institute share advances in research, treatment and assistive technologies for age-related macular degeneration.

WHEN:  

9:30 to 11:30 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 12

WHERE: 

 Macdonald Auditorium, OHSU Casey Eye Institute, 3375 S.W. Terwilliger Blvd., Portland, Oregon 97239; free parking is available in the lot adjacent to the institute’s entrance.

DETAILS:  

Brandon Lujan, M.D., assistant professor of ophthalmology, OHSU School of Medicine, and medical director for the OHSU Casey Eye Institute Reading Center, will speak about research and treatment developments.

John Boyer, O.D., assistant professor of ophthalmology, OHSU School of Medicine, and clinical director of the OHSU Casey Eye Institute Vision Rehabilitation Center, will discuss new innovations in technology to assist patients with the disease.

Representatives from Boundless AT and OrCam will be on hand to demonstrate vision aid products.
