Dr. Fleseriu’s clinical focus and research interest is in the pathophysiology and treatment of pituitary and adrenal disease. She is a principal investigator for a number of clinical trials. Fleseriu is a frequent international guest speaker on various topics related to treatments of pituitary tumors, especially acromegaly and Cushing’s disease. She has served as director of OHSU’s Northwest Pituitary Center since 2007. Fleseriu has published extensively and has coauthored several book chapters; she also is chief editor and on the editorial board of several specialty journals. She was elected president of The Pituitary Society, the largest and oldest pituitary organization, comprised of researchers and clinicians from all over the world. Fleseriu will serve as president-elect in 2018-19 and as president in 2019-20. She is also the chair of the Endocrine Society’s clinical guidelines committee and a member of several committees of the Endocrine Society and American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists.
