Kummar is a cancer specialist whose focus is to bring new discoveries to the clinic, developing new treatments for cancer. She runs early phase clinical trials evaluating new treatments while ensuring highest standards of patient safety. She also leads the division of hematology & medical oncology in the OHSU School of Medicine.
Her husband, Sanjay Malhotra, Ph.D., is a synthetic medicinal chemist who leads the Knight Cancer Institute’s Center for Experimental Therapeutics dedicated to discovering new cancer treatments.
