"I am deeply saddened to report the passing of Dean Mark Richardson. Mark was a devoted clinician, an inspiring and accomplished leader, and a warm, funny and engaging person. To most of us, Mark was more than a Dean. He was a dear, dear personal friend.
We will find the right time for a campus memorial to celebrate his remarkable life and his far-reaching contributions to the school, the institution and the mission he so dearly loved. That moment is not now. Today I ask that you gather with friends and loved ones and observe a moment of silence in memory of our colleague and friend, Mark Richardson.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Mark A. Richardson Deanship Endowment. Contributions can be directed to the OHSU Foundation at 1121 SW Salmon St., Suite 100, Portland, OR 97205.
Rest in peace, Mark. You have left a tremendous legacy at our institution and in our hearts."
