OHSU statement on Gov. Brown’s proposed 2019-2021 budget

Budget supports the health and well-being of Oregonians

On Nov. 28, Gov. Kate Brown released her recommended budget for the 2019-2021 biennium. OHSU released the following statement in response:

The governor’s proposed budget reflects her commitment to ensuring all Oregonians have access to health care by fully funding the Oregon Health Plan and supporting the critical role OHSU plays in providing access to health care services for patients across the state. We applaud the governor for recognizing that OHSU’s education and research programs are truly making a difference in bettering the health and well-being of Oregonians.

We look forward to partnering with the state Legislature to maintain funding for the Medicaid program and to ensure resources that allow OHSU to fulfill its promise as the only public academic health center in service to the state of Oregon.
