Event: 2018 Doernbecher Freestyle Collection goes on sale Saturday, Dec. 15

MEDIA ALERT: Unique Nike shoe, apparel designs created by OHSU Doernbecher patients available to public for first time

WHAT: 

The 2018 Doernbecher Freestyle Collection, featuring six limited-edition Nike shoes and apparel designs created by patients of OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital, will become available for public purchase. All proceeds will benefit OHSU Doernbecher.

Attending media will be able to take photos and video of the patient-designers and their families as they launch their collections, sign autographs and share their inspiring stories of triumph over life-threatening medical conditions.

Doernbecher Freestyle represents a partnership between Nike and OHSU Doernbecher to provide young patients facing serious medical conditions the opportunity to design limited-edition footwear and apparel to support the children’s hospital. Now in its 15th year, the program has raised nearly $24 million to expand pioneering research, support clinical care, purchase state-of-the-art equipment, recruit new experts and help cover the cost of care for families most in need.

Beginning Saturday, Dec. 15, the complete 2018 Doernbecher Freestyle Collection will be available for purchase on nike.com and at select Nike retail and partner stores.
