Trauma and Gun Violence
OHSU partners with Healing Hurt People to help break cycles of violence by providing rapid-response counseling to victims of community violence within four hours of arrival at OHSU Hospital. On-call counselors engage patients and families to support recovery and reduce the risk of retaliation. The program serves people ages 10 to 35. (OHSU/Christine Torres Hicks)
