The very foundation of OHSU’s public mission to serve all Oregonians is built on the many members who demonstrate integrity, compassion and scholarship every day through a shared commitment to health care, education, research and service, in a safe and inclusive environment.
OHSU remains committed to the principles of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals policy and celebrates today’s Supreme Court decision together with members of the OHSU community and Oregon’s immigrant communities.
In continuing this commitment, OHSU:
- Will only cooperate with immigration enforcement activities when there are clear exigent circumstances, such as an imminent risk to the health or safety of others or as required by law.
- Will only share confidential student information with the federal government, such as immigration status, if required by court order.
- Will not act on behalf of the federal government in enforcing immigration laws.
To all people who have felt targeted or vulnerable in awaiting this decision, please know that we continue to stand with you.
